One Community. One Program.

The Grant Men’s Lacrosse program is closely connected to Eastside Portland Lacrosse (EPL), the youth lacrosse organization serving elementary and middle school players across Portland’s eastside.

Many EPL players continue their lacrosse journey at Grant, building on the friendships, skills, and love of the game they developed early on.

Together, we’re building a strong, inclusive lacrosse community—from youth lacrosse all the way through high school.

One of the best parts of lacrosse is playing with your friends—and that doesn’t have to end after middle school.

Many EPL teammates continue playing together at Grant, making the transition into high school feel natural and familiar. Our program is built around that idea: team-first, inclusive, and connected.

New to lacrosse? You’re welcome here too.
Whether you’ve been playing for years or are just getting started, our program is built to support players at every level.

Who Can Play for Grant?

The Grant Lacrosse program is open to players who will attend:

  • Grant

  • McDaniel

  • Cleveland

  • Franklin

  • Jefferson

  • Roosevelt

As well as players attending eastside schools without a lacrosse program, or private schools on the eastside that do not offer lacrosse.

Year-Round Opportunities

In addition to summer, we offer opportunities throughout the year to stay connected and keep developing:

  • Fall ball (including a local tournament)

  • Pre-season conditioning

  • Winter practices

None of these are required, but they’re a great way to build confidence, improve your game, and feel ready heading into the season.

Summer at Grant

Our summer program is the best way for incoming players to get started. It’s a relaxed, non-competitive environment designed to help players ease into the high school program while continuing to develop their game.

The summer program is a great opportunity to:

  • Get quality reps and keep improving

  • Meet your future teammates

  • Start building chemistry for the upcoming season

We practice twice a week at the Grant Bowl, with a schedule designed to allow players to also participate in club lacrosse.

Summer ball typically includes at least one tournament— incoming 9th graders can participate in the Robin Hood Skirmish, a fun local tournament and a great first team experience.

Incoming freshmen are absolutely welcome and encouraged to join.
